Tim Marr

Tim Marr is an ink pen artist based in Melbourne, Australia, known for his meticulously detailed stippling works.

Tim’s works contain themes surrounding consciousness, mental stamina, history, and nature. Many of his pieces include the use of geometric shapes and fine details to express the exploration of the artwork’s theory. Each artwork tells a story of knowledge or experience in life that holds meaning to Tim personally.

Since a young age, Tim has gravitated towards art, but his work re-ignited alongside a major life-changing event. He was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2018, which required surgery, nine weeks of intensive chemotherapy, followed by more tests and further surgery. During this time, Tim faced physical and emotional hardship but was met with the opportunity to explore life on a more existential level. It was through this that Tim dove into the topics that fascinated him—many of which became the basis for his art concepts.

In a remarkable demonstration of resilience, Tim ran his first 100km ultramarathon shortly after completing chemotherapy, raising funds for charity. He later completed another 100km trail run at Lysterfield Lake, Victoria, Australia to support Movember, embodying the same mental stamina and inner drive that is present in his creative work.

Tim has a holistic approach to life and art, with each of his pieces reflecting themes and ideas that first spark his own intellectual and spiritual curiosity. Whether it’s ancient history, psychedelic exploration, or the concept of interconnectedness—his work is driven by a desire to understand and communicate these concepts clearly through art.

His work invites viewers to think deeper, linger longer, and engage curiously in these mind-expanding themes.
